White Kisses Great Dane Rescue is committed to rescuing, rehabbing, and rehoming Great Danes in Texas and surrounding states. While we do rescue all types of full-blooded Great Danes as well as Mastiffs and Dane/Mastiff mixes, our passion and #1 priority is saving special needs Double Merle Great Danes, including deaf, blind, and other health issues. We promote Double Merle awareness, responsible pet ownership, animal identification (micro-chipping/ID tags), and the importance of spaying/neutering.
As of November 22, 2014, we are a non-profit 501(c)3 Great Dane rescue operating solely on donations and the work of volunteers and fosters. Every donation helps us provide veterinary care, training, housing, food, and all other needs of the Great Danes in our care. We strive to place each Great Dane in the home that best fits the dog and family. Placements are not taken lightly.

White Kisses Great Dane Rescue receives $3500 Spay & Neuter Grant from
BISSELL Pet Foundation
Funds will help reduce homeless pet population in North Texas
Lubbock (January 5, 2022) – White Kisses Great Dane Rescue has been awarded a $3500 grant from BISSELL Pet Foundation (BPF) for spay and neuter procedures with our rescue vets. This dedicated grant will help reduce the homeless pet population by preventing unwanted litters of stray cats and dogs in the community.
With thousands of pets abandoned each year, proactive spay and neuter procedures address the root cause of animal overpopulation by preventing unwanted births, freeing up shelter space for pets in need, and saving pets from potential abandonment or euthanasia. BISSELL Pet Foundation awards dozens of grants every year to shelters across the country, including White Kisses Great Dane Rescue, to help protect and save animal lives. In 2021, more than $1.3 million was provided through grants to shelters for spay/neuter procedures.
“We understand how important it is to support preventative efforts that allow our partners to save lives through safe spay and neuter procedures,” said Cathy Bissell, founder of BISSELL Pet Foundation. “We also strongly encourage all pet owners to be responsible and have their pets sterilized, to further ensure healthy pet populations.”

“In these uncertain times, with intake increases and adoption decreases, we are so thankful to the Bissell Pet Foundation and Cathy Bissell for this grant! It is fantastic to be a recipient and part of the Bissell family.” Dusty Meil, WKGDR
