Our Mission
White Kisses Great Dane Rescue is committed to rescuing, rehabbing, and rehoming Great Danes in Texas and surrounding states. While we do rescue all types of full-blooded Great Danes as well as Mastiffs and Dane/Mastiff mixes, our passion and #1 priority is saving special needs Double Merle Great Danes, including deaf, blind, and other health issues. We promote Double Merle awareness, responsible pet ownership, animal identification (micro-chipping/ID tags), and the importance of spaying/neutering.
As of November 22, 2014, we are a non-profit 501(c)3 Great Dane rescue operating solely on donations and the work of volunteers and fosters. Every donation helps us provide veterinary care, training, housing, food, and all other needs of the Great Danes in our care. We strive to place each Great Dane in the home that best fits the dog and family. Placements are not taken lightly.

Dear White Kisses Friends and Supporters
It’s important to understand the reality we're facing with the animal crisis right now. Here’s what’s happening:
- Our foster networks and partner rescues are overwhelmed. We're doing everything we can, but we're at capacity. Rescues and shelters are full, and finding new foster homes is becoming increasingly difficult.
- Entire litters are being surrendered, and even purebred puppies are struggling to find homes.
- Pregnant dogs, puppies, and many wonderful dogs are at risk of not finding the homes they deserve.
- The dream of finding a "forever home" is becoming more challenging as the number of available spaces is dwindling.
- Adoptions are at an all-time low, and we desperately need more people to open their homes to foster or adopt.
- Every day, more dogs are left without a place to go. It’s more critical than ever to help. Please keep your pets and take good care of them.
Spay or neuter your pets, train them, and give them the love and care they need. If you must leave your dog at home while you work, that’s okay—it's still a much better option than the alternative they face.
Remember, no one can love and care for your dog like you can!

What is a Double Merle?
Double Merles are 100% preventable!
White Great Danes result from bad breeding practices, most commonly known as spot x spot breeding. This could be harl x merle, harl x harl, merle x merle, any quin x quin, or any quin x merle breeding. When we say quin x quin, we speak of harlequins, merlequins, brindlequins, fawnequins, etc.
No White Great Dane should ever be bred! With any spot x spot breeding, there's always a 25% chance of Double Merles. Learn more about Double Merles here!
